Tourists can see there a few very interesting species such as the gemsbok antelope (which can live a few months without water!), springbok, blue wildebeest, eland and red hartebeest.

Where live antelopes come also predatory animals and therefore vacationers have good chances to see lions and leopards. Kgalagadi is also famous for rare birds of prey, such as the pygmy falcon.
